This was done in partner with Reckli, who supplied the liners which created the broken harrace pattern. It was very important that the colour of each concrete pour was consistent as matching the colour was a high priority for the client. In order to achieve this colour match Leitrim Civils were required to carefully rub up the concrete and create concrete repair mortar which also matched the colour of the original concrete.
In the past we have worked with Filcor, a void former supplier, and have installed void former over the top of an underground garage. Due to a design change in the construction of the sub structure, difficult restrictions were placed on the driveway construction which was above the underground garage. Due to this, the driveway had to be built predominantly of void former and with light weight concrete. Leitrim Civils completed this job and were also asked to use the same method for a concrete staircase which housed a large plant room below its structure. Following the success with these two contracts we have continued installing void former in a number of other circumstances as well.
